JM Paquet

JM Paquet furniture frames are solidly constructed and made exclusively from select 5/4" thick kiln-dried alder, a hardwood known for its durability and strength. The wood is cut to exact frame specifications and hand joined with quality wood glue, wood dowels and screws. Heavy gauge, sinuous steel wire is individually attached from the front of the frame to the back and hand tied from one side to the other to ensure maximum support, balance and flexibility. Defining edge rolls are placed on the front arms and other parts of the wood frame to create a soft edge and distinctive style. Layer upon layer of cotton and polyurethane foam is hand fitted and covered with Dacron padding for additional softness. The final detail is the application of the decorative fabrics, hand cut, sewn, and applied over the padding.

As you would expect from a product of this quality, the detailed craftsmanship continues in the cushioning. Paquet’s uniquely constructed 205 thread count all-cotton down proof ticking fabric used to encase the feather and down filling is woven 15% tighter than industry standards for feather proofness. Because a seat cushion supports up to 75% of your body weight, the seats are designed as an envelope featuring a Reflex™ foam core for added support. The zippered envelopes or “jackets” are like a channeled comforter wrapped around a foam core. Each channel is individually filled with the proper weight ratio. Channels prevent the migration of fill so the cushion will maintain proper distribution. Back cushions are also constructed with channels that are filled with Featherblend®, a blend of fiber, feather, and down. Paquet’s cushions are exceptional because of the quality and amount of fill specified in each cushion. This attention to detail guarantees that all of the cushioning is individual and provides you with unsurpassed comfort.
